Yoga for Healing

I teach yoga and breathwork for healing, covering stress, anxiety, trauma, IBS, hormonal balance, sciatica and more. I work 1-to-1 and also am partnered with clinics and The Extraordinary Adventure Club.

I believe in, and teach a practice that allows the body to ground, resting the nervous system, as well as strengthening and toning.

Yoga allows for gentle introspection enabling subtle shifts, healing and transforming from the inside out.

Yoga for Athletes

When athletes are forced to retire due to injury, it is often not due to muscular problems, but joint problems - bad ankles, backs, knees, shoulders.

Yin yoga, a practice that originated in Taoist China of 2000 BC, gently stretches and rehabilitates the connective tissues that form our joints.

I combine a teaching method of yin and elements of hatha to bring flexibility and movement back into the body, whilst building strength and confidence.

Yoga for Pre + Post Natal

The physical and energetic body, along with the mind goes through a multitude of changes throughout pregnancy.

Pre + Post Natal yoga energises, rests, and balances: physically, energetically and mentally.

The practice goes beyond the mat, supporting mothers to be throughout the journey of pregnancy, in the lead up to labour, and in the fourth trimester.

I am also delighted to be part of the founding support team for Postpartum Plan, an online resource for soon-to-be and new parents.

200hr Vinyasa; Warriors at Ease Trauma Sensitive Yoga; Yin Yoga; Pre + Post Natal Yoga; Breathwork.

Three years spent assisting disability yoga, and weekend workshops with Matthew Sanford - pioneer in adapting yoga for people with disabilities.

How to Manage + Process Daily Stresses (next one: 2024)

When it comes to healing, recovery and day to day "maintenance" of our health, processing emotions, daily stresses and difficult memories is of the utmost importance. We might think that the processing needs to take place within the mind. However, our bodies very much keep the score and in today's world, we have become disconnected allowing unhelpful tensions and stresses to be held within us.

A workshop combining yoga, breathwork and TRE (Trauma Release Exercise), a series of seven exercises developed by Dr.David Berceli designed to evoked the body’s natural tremor mechanism. TRE works on stuck or arrested energy in the body, helping to ease muscle tension, aid myofascial release and re wire neural pathways. This workshop is designed particularly with mothers in mind to provide a safe space to explore gentle healing and relaxation.

Day Retreat(s)

After the success and rapid sell out of our most recent mini retreat in Nov ‘23, Four Sides (Megan Vickers), Postpartum Plan (Meg), and I are teaming up again to host our next retreat early 2024. Our retreats bring together a very complementary range of expertise, combining strength, and relaxation with actionable takeaways, epic goodie bags and delicious home made snacks, courtesy of Megan :).
