Harriot, Founder of Mallow & Marsh, has been a real honest support & advisor – hard to come by & a total legend! Also… she’s busy taking over the world with her outrageously good marsh mallows!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I’ve no idea. I think I wanted to fly for a few years – so a pilot is probably close. For a while in my later teens I loved Ally Mcbeal so I thought being a Lawyer would be fun (dancing babies aside). If I’m honest though, I don’t think I really stuck on one idea – it took me some time to settle and not have 50 ideas all at once.
Who or what is your inspiration in life?
I don’t think I have just one. There are some other brands and start ups that I admire a lot – I try to learn from how they are growing and developing, and how their founders manager their time. For me, my main inspiration is the drive to be self sufficient and to be able to give myself the life that my family were able to give me, and hopefully to love every moment of it along the way.
What’s been your hardest lesson?
People. Figuring people out and management was a big curve for me. I’m definitely still on it. I think every day has a hard lesson attached to it. Resilience / Perseverance are also up there in terms of skills you need to learn pretty quickly to stay afloat.
What/where is your escape?
The countryside. Give me a hill, a field, or some space – I love to walk, listening to some music and just give my brain some time out.
Favourite pixar movie character?
It’s got to be Wall-e, but I reckon Dori is a close second.
If you could be an olympian, who would you be?

Leonard Cohen, Halleluja
What is your life luxury?
Good food. I’ll never sacrifice on food.
