- Tom Britton, Co-Founder: Syndicate Room
Born in Los Angeles, Tom moved to the UK to play football and after three fairly successful years realised it was time to focus on his non-sporting career. Before joining SyndicateRoom as a co-founder Tom worked in product development on a number of software-based projects including managing the development of the mobile applications for TheTrainline.
Tom completed his MBA at Cambridge where he focused on developing start-ups and has taken a keen interest in ventures focused on helping other start-ups. Tom leads SyndicateRoom’s website development team though his skills and experience ensure that he does a lot more than just that. In his spare time Tom volunteers for Camp Footprints, rock climbs, and still plays the odd five aside game.
- Muboriz Murakshoev, Commercial Director: E2Exchange
Muboriz currently serves as Comerica Director at E2Exchange, one of the largest high-growth entrepreneurs organization in UK. Prior to that, he was director at an incubator focused on start-up companies, promoting UK as the center for entrepreneurship in Europe. He also founded Astelios Ltd, a distributor of market analytics into the Emerging Markets, whilst running Astelios Muboriz has raised investment round through a group of private angel investors.
Whilst working in Oxford, Muboriz worked with entrepreneurs throughout the fundraising process, from campaign submissions through to investment closing. Whilst at University, Muboriz was a Co-Founder of digital innovation company focused on helping startups with technology infrastructure. He received BA from Oxford Brooked University in Business and Management and was heavily involved in setting up of Oxford Entrepreneurship Center in partnership with Oxford Brookes University and Said Business School.
- Joanne Gunn, Group Partnerships Director: Majestic
Jo achieved a 1st Class degree studying Food Marketing and Economics at the University of Reading, which launched her career in the food and beverage industry. She started out on the Graduate Scheme at Unilever, and spent 8 years enjoying the cut and thrust of FMCG sales. Most significantly she spent 5 years at innocent smoothies, managing their largest Grocery account before moving into a more strategic MS&P role. Jo was drawn into the wine industry 6 years ago, initially as Sales Director at Nyetimber where she achieved her Advanced Wine & Spirits qualification and made the transition into the world of luxury goods. Jo joined Naked Wines in January 2014 as their Partnerships Director and, post the merger with Majestic Wines, now directs partnerships across the Group
- Tom De Pelet, Founder: Hornit
Spurred on by the discovery that tens of thousands of cyclists are needlessly injured worldwide every year and the fact that scores of other cyclists who saw the prototypes in action asked him where they could buy one, Tom gave up his law career and created the now patented dB140 cycle horn.
He has since created the award winning Mini Hornit for children. Hornit products are now distributed in over 40 countries worldwide. Hornit’s mission is to make cycling safer and more fun for people of all ages. As a Trainee lawyer, Tom also completed the tough military training required to join the Royal Marine Reserves, the elite group of Commandos who juggle full-time work with training.
